ANN W. HERMAN

Ann W. Herman received her B.A., summa cum laude, and her J.D., summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  She had the honor of graduating first in her law school class.  Ms. Herman received the Trial Lawyers Association of Erie County Award, the John W. Bennett Achievement Award, the Prentice-Hall, Inc. Tax Award and was Articles Editor for the Buffalo Law Review. 

Ms. Herman has been practicing law for over 25 years. She is admitted to practice in both Federal and State Court, and concentrates her practice in the areas of complex tort and commercial litigation, health law, appeals, and insurance defense litigation, including toxic tort, products liability, and general negligence cases.

Prior to practicing law in Buffalo, Ms. Herman worked in the Tax Department of the New York City firm Dewey, Ballantine, where she gained experience in corporate tax planning and litigation and international tax planning.  Ms. Herman also worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Charles L. Brieant of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York. 

Ms. Herman is a member of the Erie County, New York State and American Bar Associations.
